I love the little bit of life it brings to this corner of the room, with its visible cords and half ripped-up floors.. It’s a great little pick-me-up for a corner that badly needs it, and every time I see it, it’s a pick-me-up for me too!.
I’ve done these advent calendars for Kennedy with little mini gifts for each day for the last couple of years and of course, it’s always a big hit.What kid (or person) wouldn’t love that?
I think it’s not so much about what’s inside as it is about the fact that I took the time to put it together for her and bring a little extra fun to each day for her as Christmas approaches.This year, I came up with the easiest, most brilliant and fun idea for what’s inside the advent calendar ever.Really, I’m so excited about it.

I’ve always just stuck everything in little numbered bags or packages, but this year I wanted something that might look a little prettier too and not just be a random jumble of clutter in the corner of the living room.
